@raphaelmorgan @alice unfortunately you are not all developers, and many are going to have a different point of view to you.

developers using AI generally do so
because it reduces the time and effort they need to commit to the project (quality aside; i still agree that AI code is generally worse). ergo, further reducing their income off the project, while perceptually "voting with your wallet", may just result in the developer leaning on AI more to carry the difference.

and, i feel like this needs to be stated now because nobody seems to be getting this, but at no point in this thread did i say i
like developers using AI. i would much rather if they didn't, obviously. but these are the practical implications that should be taken into account.
