@MarkAssPandi @julia in my case, i am building a CMS, but i'll also get full (albeit one-time) control over URLs (with database prodding i could change it at any time, but i'm not making it a UI feature to discourage breaking links)

i think the -yyyy suffix for annual posts makes a lot of sense in my case, and also enables me to continue making one-off posts that don't have the year attached (because the year doesn't need to be attached)

i think personal preference and actual use-case trumps here, so perhaps the flat article ID would work fine for me :3

this way, i can easily post /blog/this-is-a-post and /blog/top-10-posts-of-2025 without necessarily being locked into anything. if i ever wanted to adopt an ID suffix for a laugh, i could always just add it myself when reserving the post ID! (this would be acceptable because i do not expect this to be a common use-case)
