i wasn't necessarily telling you "don't do this", either. if you don't like where the project's going, you're absolutely within your right to pull support.

but FOSS doesn't work like publicly traded companies. it never has. if income goes down enough, there isn't a bailout, there isn't course correction- the project just dies.

i can troubleshoot linux quite a bit, but unfortunately my problems are kinda twofold:
- i don't wish to spend a lot of time troubleshooting a daily driver device
- this phone is nearly a decade old (newest android device i own) and was cheap when i bought it. it's not super worth trialling it in full when i struggle to open a web browser ;p
