@mjdxp oh yeah chromebooks are at least built for purpose (basic web browsing. which is like 90% of consumer compute)

@mjdxp 100% manufactured waste. i've been called elitist for suggesting people shouldn't waste their money on <€500 laptops, but those things are totally incapable of properly running the OS they shipped with.

you'd 100% be better off saving to buy one €700 laptop than using what you've got right now to buy a €100 one. and then €100 in a year or so when that one gets too slow or breaks. and then another €100 when that one also gets too slow or breaks. and then

@Lilith that said, yes i would absolutely LOVE if ipv6 were more widely supported
User avatar
ari ariYeah @ari@arimelody.space

@Lilith what's frustrating is some software just straight up isn't built with ipv6 in mind. it's great when it is, but even then sometimes you have to enable some secret experimental flags...

@julia you can operate on atproto without any involvement with bluesky at all! it's just that bluesky, being the killer app, has become ubiquitous among atproto identities.

anything definable in atproto's lexicon format is saveable in an atproto PDS, including blobs

i could build an entire identity off only ever using flushes.app and that would be totally valid

i love federated software architectures

happy to report that, hopefully completing my domain migration, i am now reachable at my new email; [email protected]! 💌

[email protected] will still work for the time being, however only as a relay until the old domain expires.

if you use pgp keys, you should 100% update mine! you can find the new one at:
