doubling down: unencrypted matrix rooms are the most stable i have joined. federation takes a sec, but then i get to have things like...chat history. not having to worry if i'll still see my messages tomorrow. worthless crap like that!

i've decided i don't really care about encryption on matrix. vuln or otherwise, the platform continues to have usability issues even if you run entirely unencrypted chat rooms. i'd direct my concerns there first.

@lina @keyshooter awesome! i heard about the CLA and didn't mind it too much, though the nomenclature is admittedly kinda new to me. i should peek at their federation approach out of curiosity- could be useful for future projects!
