@witix i actually kinda-sorta have freckles, but they're difficult to notice so i don't usually count myself in the "freckles club". i still adore them though, so i sometimes put them on me if the option comes up :>
@happyborg language models really aren't far removed from translation models, as far as i understand it. not to say i encourage the use, only that differentiating this would be difficult.
@happyborg that said, i don't know how this applies to localisation in the software itself, where i would concede that this should be done by humans where possible.
@happyborg machine translations for the sake of actually being able to discuss with other people in an issue thread is perfectly reasonable, at least.
it's a lot better than not being able to speak with each other at all. not everyone can be expected to speak english, and most projects certainly don't have translators on-hand.
