@alice@julia do what with you like with your money, but please be mindful that you aren't exactly incentivising the developer to turn down AI in the future
@BetaRays so, kinda sounds like linux 5-10 years ago on laptops! that gives me some hope though- linux had to go through those awful growing pains before becoming the lovely desktop environment it is today :3
@theotheroracle i saw someone posting about loving the idea of using nix on a phone but my first thought was "how much do you really like typing on a touchscreen keyboard??"
i can troubleshoot linux quite a bit, but unfortunately my problems are kinda twofold: - i don't wish to spend a lot of time troubleshooting a daily driver device - this phone is nearly a decade old (newest android device i own) and was cheap when i bought it. it's not super worth trialling it in full when i struggle to open a web browser ;p
@theotheroracle ah, yeah- i know reflashing is pretty quick but i thought you were referring to reinstalling environments on a live system. fair enough! might give that a go for funsies :3
@theotheroracle interesting note there- is it particularly easy to swap UI environments on pmOS? i'm on plasma mobile but curious about trying gnome mobile and phosh
