@mjdxp 100% manufactured waste. i've been called elitist for suggesting people shouldn't waste their money on <€500 laptops, but those things are totally incapable of properly running the OS they shipped with.
you'd 100% be better off saving to buy one €700 laptop than using what you've got right now to buy a €100 one. and then €100 in a year or so when that one gets too slow or breaks. and then another €100 when that one also gets too slow or breaks. and then
@Lilith what's frustrating is some software just straight up isn't built with ipv6 in mind. it's great when it is, but even then sometimes you have to enable some secret experimental flags...
@julia you can operate on atproto without any involvement with bluesky at all! it's just that bluesky, being the killer app, has become ubiquitous among atproto identities.
anything definable in atproto's lexicon format is saveable in an atproto PDS, including blobs
i could build an entire identity off only ever using flushes.app and that would be totally valid
