shoutout to one time on twitter i got really concerned for two friends whose profiles were suddenly blacked out, only to find out the reason was because their favourite minecraft youtuber lost a tournament
@dialecticalmusings i would write a post complaining about how character limits greatly weaken online discourse but then i would run over the character limit
@Makura very cool! my main hope would be that others jump on the train and the communities surrounding legacy minecraft versions make a similar push- modernising old minecraft internals to keep game and modding support fresh

is java 8 support like...breaking over time? i know it's old asf but afaik it still gets critical security patches and ships with most package managers
worth mentioning to save my own awesome balls that, while discourse recently happened, this does not subpost anything in particular, but basically all discourse i've seen on fedi. if this were a personal attack, i'd call you out by name.
