i wonder would promoting myself on tumblr be beneficial at all

i tend to make a point to only promote on platforms i intend to honestly engage with, and as much as i admire tumblr in theory, in practice it's never been part of my regular social media rotation. i think i find it harder to feel part of the conversation there?

@mjdxp decent tiling was actually introduced into the OS a major version or two ago! i used to use third-party software for this, but it's not really necessary anymore.

@julia see the issue is i just know that corpos would totally hoard PoS cryptocurrencies if they knew they would take hold on the general population.

what i'm most worried about is that most of crypto's benefits are held because of its scarce use in the real world. if we were paying for critical life necessities with it, corpos could just hoard all of it and we'd be right back where it started (except we can't even print more, like traditional national currencies).

it's really cool when sites allow you to pay via bank transfer, because then you can avoid giving payment processors any money (visa, mastercard, stripe, and paypal have all been particularly evil lately)
